Indonesia Import Approval (PI) is a document issued by the Indonesian Ministry of Trade to regulate the import of commodities that are subject to prohibitions or restrictions by the government. The main objective of PI is to minimize the entry of imported products into Indonesia while further supporting and protecting domestic products. Regulations regarding imports are regulated in Minister of Trade Regulation no. 25 of 2022.
After the Minister of Trade regulation No. 25 of 2022 was issued, the validity period of the Import Approval (PI) can be extended by up to 1 year based on the Recommendations of the Ministry of Trade and Industry in the Trade Sector (RKIB).
The following are several types of PI Permits and their terms and conditions:

For other types of PI, please refer to the regulations in Minister of Trade Regulation No. 25 of 2022. The proposed quota amount will be adjusted to the provisions set by the Ministry of Trade or the Ministry of Industry in accordance with the applicable commodity balance.
